Red Ribbon Campaign is the largest and oldest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week. Therefore my project was based on this campaign; I had to create a picture that captures the meaning of respecting yourself and going the distance, and not being dragged down by substance abuse.
My photograph is a picture of a girl who is running on the track with a red baton in hand. The picture itself had to be black and white, but an item had to be red; I chose the baton to be red. I made it red because it symbolizes the girl’s passion for her sport. She’s proving to herself that she can strive for greatness.
